BHS Cricket - Sports Team of the Year Print E-mail

At Bergvliet High School’s recent Sports Award Ceremony the 1st Team - Cricket, were rightly named Sports Team of the Year, in acknowledgment of playing 11 League matches and winning all 11.
  • Fish Hoek - won by 170 runs
  • Stellenberg - won by 21 runs
  • Westerford - won by 69 runs
  • Milnerton - won by 31 runs
  • Fairmont – won by 58 runs
  • Devon (UK) – won by 7 wickets
  • Pinelands – won by 82 runs
  • Fish Hoek – won by 178 runs
  • Westerford – won by 26 runs
  • Bellville – won by 75 runs
  • Pinelands – won by 180 runs
11 wins out of 11 games, not being content with this great achievement they went on to become Champs at the Bergvliet T20 Festival.
Together everyone can achieve more – and that’s exactly what, this talented team of young men did this year. What a credit to their school, themselves and their family.

Under 18 WP Academy Rugby Print E-mail

Congratulation to Caleb Matthys who has been selected into the u18 WP Academy rugby team and will take part in the Academy Week in Bloemfontein, from 1 – 6 July 2019.

Well done Caleb, we are proud of you!
National Swimming Championship Print E-mail
Congratulations to grade 8 learner Hannah Paulse who took part at the Level 2 National Swimming Championships, in Oudtshoorn, from 7 - 9 April and came home with 5 x Gold medals and 1 x Silver medals. 
BHS - Judo twins Print E-mail

Twins, Ronin and Jarod Fairfull in grade 11, have been consistent in their Judo training since the age of six, which has resulted in them now being 1st Dan Judokas, they will be grading to second Dan this December.

In 2017, they entered 11 provincial and national tournaments taking Gold and Silver medals in all the tournaments they entered in the Western Cape. Also in 2017, they took part in the SA International Judo Championships held in Bloemfontein, with Jarod taking 4th place and Ronin 5th place. This ranked them 3rd in South Africa.

So far this year they entered the West Coast Open and achieved 2nd and 3rd place in their respective divisions.  Both of these young men work as referees at the development tournaments and National Events around the country.
