The Bergvliet High School Chess Club has done well over the past few years. If you make the team, you will have the opportunity to take part in individual tournaments eg. Western Province trials as well as team matches.
At Bergvliet High School chess is offered as a winter sport.
To those learners reading this—we are especially looking for younger talent, so if you can play chess or would like to play, sign up for one of the oldest martial art games in the world!
