BITS, Bergvliet High School’s Information Technology (IT) society, has been established to provide a service to the school in the area of computing and IT in general. Based in the two computer rooms, the team provides assistance to the teacher-in-charge and is dedicated to diagnosing and providing solutions to queries generated from the pupil and staff bodies as well as ensuring that the computer rooms are run as efficiently as possible.
The team consists of both experienced computer users and enthusiastic beginners, who further their own knowledge whilst helping others along the way. The idea of having a team consisting of people with different levels of knowledge and expertise allows information-sharing within the team and is a great way to learn more about IT.
BITS is also involved in a variety of different projects and provides an ideal opportunity for keen people to exhibit and develop leadership potential.
