Introduction to Visual Basic.NET

In this course, users will be taught about the Microsoft.NET framework and its easiest language addition yet – Visual Basic. The course will cover the .NET framework and its inner workings, as well as the Microsoft Visual Studio Express IDE (a free integrated development environment for hobbyists and amateur coders) and of course – the basics of Visual Basic.
Users will be taught basic programming fundamentals like syntax, variables, datatypes, if…else statements, loops and error checking and will then move onto implementing them in basic Visual Basic console programs. The course will end with a practical, showing users how to make a simple Visual Basic.Net programme that completes maths equations for them. Course participants will be given a free copy of Visual Studio Professional 2008 to install onto their computers at home.

Many thanks to Chris Cresswell of Tokai Multi-Franchise, for the kind donation of our Driver Education car, which can be viewed . One hour driving lessons will take place during the times indicated below. These lessons are only available to Bergvliet High School learners.
All booking must be made in person at the Continuing Education office and are on a first-come, first-served basis. A copy of your valid learner’s licence must accompany your registration form. Well done to all those of you who have taken the Driving test in our car and have passed - we have a 100% first time around pass rate so far!
