It is aimed at those who are fairly computer literate, i.e. can use the computer and internet, but are not experienced enough to know what to do to protect themselves against threats such as worms, Trojans, viruses etc. Explanations of the various attacks will be given, to show how they have evolved. Identity theft will be explained, how it can happen and some common steps to prevent it. You will then be introduced to the tools and methods which you can use to protect yourself: Free/Paid anti-virus tools will be discussed, as well as firewalls, security updating your computer etc. Lastly, some advice will be given on how to handle infections on the computer, in order to get the computer clean again.
