Neston High

Tim Le Mesurier spent a week at Neston last year and Judy Gilmour spent a week with us this year. During her visit, we both spent two days at Crystal to observe the way they function.

Both visits proved very fruitful in the exchange of ideas.
Learners are encouraged to develop friendships via e-mail and several are writing regularly to each other. It is our hope that we shall be able to include student exchanges within the next year.

Crystal High

Gail Beukes, teacher at Crystal visited Neston earlier this year and had a similar experience to Tim Le Mesurier’s.
We have organized soccer and netball matches on two occasions and have had inter-school visits by teachers and learners. These will continue. Crystal also benefited by receiving lots of our desks when we changed from desks to tables.

The “Neston High School Leonardo Award” was awarded for the first time this year at the Matric Prize Giving in October. It goes to the Matric with the best average marks in Visual Arts and the Sciences and was awarded to Catherine Kruyer. (See photo)

Neston is a specialist school for Science and the Arts. Hence the “Leonardo” award.
