PLAYING CONDITIONS
The normal rules of cricket shall apply except as stated below.
1. Umpires. A panel of four umpires has been appointed, and will officiate in all matches.
2. Match Balls. White balls of regulation size and weight will be used for all matches. These will be supplied by the tournament organisers.
3. Duration of Innings. Each innings shall be limited to a maximum of 20 overs. The innings is to be completed within 1 hour 25 minutes.
4. Playing Times. The following playing times shall apply if no interruptions due to weather or other factors occur. If two matches are scheduled on the same day, then there shall be a minimum of 10 minutes between the end of the first match and the commencement of the second.

5. Interrupted Matches. No allowance will be made for time lost due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Should time be lost, one over shall be deducted from each team’s innings for every five minutes lost. Umpires must attempt to so arrange the number of overs in an interrupted match so that each team has the opportunity of facing the same number of overs. Each team shall have the opportunity to face a minimum of 7 overs for a result to be achieved.
6. Maximum Overs per Bowler. In an uninterrupted match, no bowler shall bowl more than 4 overs. In an interrupted match, the maximum overs per bowler shall be reduced accordingly.
7. Target Score. If a match is interrupted and the team batting second is allocated fewer overs than the team batting first, then the target shall be reduced. The number of overs available to the team batting second shall be multiplied by the average run rate per over of the team batting first. This figure, rounded down to the next integer value, will be the target score to TIE.
For example, Team 1 scores 95 in 20 overs. After a weather delay, Team 2’s innings is reduced to 15 overs. Team 1’s average run rate per over is thus 4.75. The target score to TIE will then be 15 x 4.75 = 71.25 ie 71; and the target score to WIN ins 71 + 1 = 72.
8. Unfair Deliveries.
No-Ball. The penalty for a no-ball shall be two runs. Furthermore, the striker may not be dismissed in any of the following methods off the subsequent delivery: Bowled, LBW, Caught, Hit Wicket or Stumped.
Wide. Umpires are to apply a strict and consistent ruling on the calling of wide deliveries. A wide delivery shall be one which does not give the batsman the opportunity to play a normal cricket shot.
9. Fielding Restrictions. The following fielding restrictions shall apply. If any transgression is noted by an umpire, he shall call no ball.
9.1 During the first 7 over of an uninterrupted innings, only two fielders may be more than 30 metres from the striker’s wicket at the moment of deliver. Additionally, two fielders must be in a stationery position.
9.2 For the remainder of the innings, a minimum of four fielders (excluding bowler and wicket-keeper) must be within 30 metres of the striker’s wicket at the moment of delivery.
In the event of the innings being reduced to weather or other circumstances, the initial period of 7 overs shall be reduced as follows:

10.1 Preliminary Matches. In the preliminary matches, each team shall play one game against each of the other teams in that pool. Points shall be awarded as listed below. Teams shall be ranked in their pools on the following basis:
1 – most points
2 – result of match between the teams level on points
3 – most matches won
4 – best Net Run Rate
5 – if the teams cannot be separated on any of the above criteria, the tournament organizers shall decide on the final placings in the pool

10.1.2 Bonus Points. A bonus point system shall apply during the preliminary matches. One point shall be awarded in each of the following cases. In all cases, the final target set for the team batting second shall be used in calculations.
- Team batting first, winning and restricting opponents to less than 80% of their total.
Team batting second and achieving their target within fewer than 80% of the allocated overs.
- Team batting first, losing but opponents needing more than 95% of the allocated overs.
Team batting second, losing but achieving more than 95% of the target.
10.1.2 Net Run Rate. The net run rate for a team shall be calculated by subtracting the average run rate achieved by opponents in all matches from the average run rate achieved by that team. In all cases, the final target set for the team batting second shall be used in calculations. Where a team is dismissed within the allocated number of overs, then the full number of overs available to that team shall be used in calculating its average run rate
10.2 Play-Off Matches. After conclusion of the preliminary matches, each team shall play one match against the team finishing in the same position in the other pool. In the event of one or more of these matches ending in a tie or no result, then a bowl-out shall take place to determine the final positions unless precluded by weather or ground conditions.
Each team shall nominate five bowlers, who will each bowl two deliveries at an unguarded set of stumps. The team achieving the greater number of hits shall be the winner. If the scores are level after ten deliveries by each team, the bowl-out shall continue on a sudden death basis until one team has an advantage after an equal number of attempts.
