Subjects for Grade 12 are as follows. There are 4 compulsory subjects, and 3 more are chosen from a choice of 3 to make a total of 7 subjects.

Compulsory subjects: English First Language and Life Orientation, Afrikaans First or Second Language, and Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy.

Choice one: Accounting, Business Studies⁵, Consumer Studies¹, History, Life Science and Music⁴.

Choice two: Business Studies⁵, Computer Application Technology², Geography, Consumer Studies¹, Physical Science³

Choice 3: Accounting, Computer Application Technology², Geography, History, Life Science, Visual Art⁴

NOTES:

1. Consumer Studies has a maximum of 35 learners per class.
2. Computer Application Technology has a maximum of 38 learners per class.
3. In order to take Physical Science, Mathematics must be taken as well.
4. Both Music and Visual Art have specific entrance requirments.
5. Business Studies has a maximum of 35 learners per class.
